Okay so I (the dog mom) am writing this on my phone so I’m super hopeful there are no spelling or grammatical errors haha

Anyways, it’s been a while since I wrote a post on our blog so I thought I’d check in and say hi from Ace and I!

Winter is upon us here in Saskatchewan (Canada) and Ace could not be happier! As far as he is concerned, the more the snow the better! He loves body diving into snow banks 🤣 Below is a picture of him from last winter literally laying in a snow bank.

Ace is also doing super well on walks! He’s getting better at recognizing that most other dogs are not threats and that he is safe! His reactivity is definitely not as high as it used to be. I will be honest that he is also on some anxiety medication. It allows him to not only be calmer (slightly) but also allows him to focus more while training, which helps his reactivity and settling easier!

I feel like he is settling in life more in general. We do have to work on him going outside by himself because there is no way I’m accompanying him outside when it’s -30 degrees Celsius or colder haha I’m not built for the cold like he is!

Anyways, I think that’s it for now! Please remember that I’m not a trainer, but I will always share things that have work and are working for us to show that progress is possible!
